Are you having trouble with your Putt-Putt game? Are you a total newbie, or are your scores just not where you want them to be? Take a look at these pointers, and give them a try next time you’re at Charleston Fun Park!
- The Putter. Make sure you pick a putter that’s the right height for you–it should be about as tall as your belt, and you should be able to hold it in the middle of the grip. Anything taller or shorter and you’ll be working against yourself. Of course, if you have your own putter, feel free to bring that!
- Where to Hit. You want to strike the ball with the middle of the putter to make sure it travels in a straight line. Line up your shot first, and try a couple of short practice putts without connecting so you know you’re correctly placed.
- Check the Green. Before you make a shot, look over the space. Are there water traps, hidden hills, obstacles, or anything else you need to account for? Is the land flat, or is there an incline? Remember that the ball will have a tendency to break towards water. Take a minute to familiarize yourself with each hole before you putt.
As with everything, the more you do it, the better you’ll get! At Charleston Fun Park we have two themed 18-hole mini-golf courses and plenty of specials to make playing even more affordable. Challenge your friends, family, and even co-workers, follow these tips, and watch your game improve!
