April is Stress Awareness Month! To help you manage your stress better, here are a few party planning tips that will help you reduce the stress leading up to your party:
1. Start Planning Early
One of the best things you can do to reduce stress when planning a celebration is to begin your planning sooner rather than later. The larger the party or bigger the occasion, the earlier you need to begin. Before doing anything else, be sure to reserve a venue if you need it. This is the most time-sensitive aspect of the planning stage and you want to do that first so you don’t have to worry about it
2. Plan Every Detail
Start with a vision board of what you want your party to look like and to find ideas for decorations, invitations, and games (we love using Pinterest for this). Next, select the things you know want to incorporate into your party and make a list of items you need to carry out those things. Also be sure to consider venue, parking, travel, food, and other logistics of your party and do everything in your power to reduce uncertainty.
3. Delegate the Planning to a Trustworthy Person
Hire a party planner or ask a friend for help with planning a party. This way, you either have an expert or at least someone who you can trust to assist you and reduce the stress of planning the party. At Charleston Fun Park, we plan the party for you.
