April is National Volunteer Month! Volunteers are the lifeblood of many non-profit organizations, both locally and nationally based, but by many reports the number of people who volunteer in the US has dwindled in recent years. At Charleston Fun Park we hope to help change that! Check out some ways you can celebrate by improving our community!
- First of all, get out there and volunteer! Think about things you and your family are interested in, and then search for opportunities that match those interests on Volunteer Match. You can look for opportunities based on location, area of focus, or even specify family-friendly opportunities.
- Host a fundraiser at Charleston Fun Park to raise funds for your organization or to donate to a charity or nonprofit! Contact us for more information on the easiest fundraiser you’ll ever host–and the most fun.
- April is also Keep America Beautiful Month and National Gardening Month, so why not volunteer to clean up a local park or work in a community garden? The Charleston Parks Conservancy is a great place to start looking for these sorts of opportunities. Enjoy the fresh air and spring weather while giving back to our community!
No matter how you and your family choose to volunteer this month (or in the future), remember to have fun with it and to reward yourselves with a trip to Charleston Fun Park afterward! Check out our specials for the most cost-effective ways to spend a day (or more) enjoying our attractions.
